The community
is our heart.
The Haywood 209 Cafe has been open for business since March 2015. Our building, however, has been a restaurant under many titles for over thirty years, serving the Ironduff Community in the beautiful border county of Haywood and within the city of Waynesville, North Carolina.
Specializing in American traditional diner classics, the Haywood 209 Cafe serves up staples like hearty breakfasts, Ribeye steaks, cheeseburgers, country-fried steak, and seafood specials. It also serves homemade baked goods by our in-house baker, known to us as “Mamaw,” and the absolute best milkshakes you’ll ever taste!
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; dine in and to-go, seven days a week!
Stop by and be surprised by the quality of food and service this little country cafe will provide!

Good food brings
us together.
Nestled along the scenic stretch of Highway 209, our cafe is a local favorite and a must-visit for travelers looking to enjoy homestyle meals with a modern twist. Whether you’re sipping a hot cup of locally roasted coffee or digging into one of our hearty breakfast plates, you’ll feel right at home from the moment you walk through our doors.
We believe in simple food done right—made from scratch, sourced locally whenever possible, and served with a warm smile. From golden buttermilk pancakes and crispy bacon in the morning, to lunch plates stacked with southern-style sandwiches, fresh salads, and daily specials, there’s something here for everyone.
At Haywood Cafe 209, it’s not just about the food—it’s about community. It’s about neighbors catching up over biscuits and gravy, hikers refueling after a Blue Ridge adventure, and families making memories over Sunday brunch.
Stop in and stay a while. You’re not just a guest—you’re family.
