Meet
Drake Fultz, Local Owner and Operator
In September 2017, Drake Fultz assumed the Operating Partner and General Manager role. A native of Asheville, NC, Drake began his career in the restaurant industry as a prep cook at Cracker Barrel in his hometown. Over the next several years, he advanced to Associate Manager, a position he held for nearly 14 years. After exploring a few other career paths, Drake found his way to Haywood 209 Cafe—where he feels he’s truly found his perfect fit.
Outside of work, Drake enjoys spending quality time with his family and his daughter, Frankie. He is also passionate about crafting custom knives, a hobby he turned into a small business in 2016. When he’s not at the café or in his workshop, he loves spending time with his family and their dog, Spur. Drake says the best part of working at Haywood 209 Cafe is the uplifting environment and the wonderful people he sees everyday.
